ABOUT

With over 20 plus years of experience in the fashion and retail industry, Karen is an expert in creating brand content and images that define how they exist in the world.   Karen has a unique background as she has truly worked in all parts of the industry.  She started her career as a market editor at ELLE.  While at ELLE, Karen launched a clothing line called AKA New York that was well received by the fashion industry and buyers alike, the first collection debuting at Barneys New York.  After 8 years of designing her own line, Karen re-entered the industry as a fashion director on the retail side.  The combination of her editorial background coupled with her hands-on experience running a fashion line gave her a unique perspective on how styling, storytelling, and branding should be used to best support a business and its objectives.  At all times Karen has an editor’s eye, a designer’s hand, a creative’s vision, and a merchant’s objective top of mind.
